World’s best news day is a hit for Dochas

Today is Dchas best news day. The World Best News was started by Irish overseas aid agencies to draw attention to the positive stories from developing countries. These news stories dont usually receive much coverage from mainstream news outlets. The aim of the news service is to change the perception of developing countries by highlighting these stories and so show the progress that is being made towards the eradication of poverty and hunger. Irelands leading role in the global goals process featured on the front page of the newspaper which was handed out freely across the country today.
